FASHION SCREAM

A series of three posters for the 23rd fashion show of Art Academy of Latvia titled Fashion Scream. Made in Composition class during my 1st year of studies at AAL. For the conceptual basis I chose a quote from bachelors’ fashion design course student Loreta Asermane: “How do you understand the words “fashion scream”? A loud, sudden change or event in fashion that everyone sees, but not everyone is fond of. (Sprinkled chili).” In the posters the red t-shirts represent the chili, which are mixed in with monochromatic clothes, then cooked and eaten, metaphorically showing the creation and integration of new fashion trends and how a person might react towards them. Photos were taken in my kitchen and then edited to fit the concept. Printed posters were exhibited at the event.
